Nathan East is the one of the most recorded bass players in the history of music. He is best known for his performances with artists such as Stevie Wonder, Eric Clapton, Joe Satriani, Phil Collins, Toto, Tommy Emmanuel and, most recently, Daft Punk, having played the bass guitar on their worldwide smash hit, "Get Lucky."
Nathan's brand new eponymous solo debut is now a multi-week #1 album, which features guest vocal performances by Eric Clapton, Sara Bareilles, Michael McDonald, and a harmonica performance by Stevie Wonder on the instrumental cover of Wonder's hit "Overjoyed." Also included is a second Wonder instrumental cover, a reimagining of the smash hit, "Sir Duke." East's cover of the 1965 Beatles song "Yesterday" features his son Noah East on piano.
This extraordinary new album contains a multitude of bass guitar-led melodies, primarily in the form of covers of much-loved hits. Included is the new single from the album, "101 Eastbound," which has been an old favorite of Nathan's since he and his brother Marcel wrote it more than 20 years ago. It may be an old song, but this is a whole new take on it!
